We close down for 2 weeks during summer and Christmas and with the old Iris I could run the payroll and then advance it by a further 2 weeks, in effect paying 3 weeks wages in one pay run. This option is not available in Staffology and I now have to run 3 separate payrolls on the same day to create one pay run. This is a major oversight.
Somewhat painful when we discovered we can't do this. Not only for the Christmas shutdown period, but also whenever an employee takes 1 week plus off we gave them holiday pay in advance, and now we have to fiddle since changing from Earnie where it was not an issue.
We only learnt of this issue in our first training session yesterday - every payroll system we have used in the past could deal with advanced pay for holiday, so this is very poor. We need this is place for the Christmas 2 week shutdown. I have questioned whether we can run the first two weeks payroll (wk37/38) by selecting 'exclude all employees' giving zero pay & then processing 3 weeks pay in the week 39
Hopefully, this can happen before Christmas shut downs, as this feature seems to keep being moved back, and it is a major problem at holiday periods running multiple payrolls
it needs to be ready for the Christmas pay run
This is a major failing
Great news. I hope it's ready for the Christmas holiday pay run.
The timeline for this feature has shifted, and it’s now scheduled for Q3 (November–January 2026)
Don't forget you will also be paying IRIS for 2 extra weeks payslips
I have the exact same issue, we close for 2 weeks for christmas this year, and need to process 3 weeks pay for everyone, i now have to calculate pay 3 x seperate times, the advance tax codes are a much needed addition asap please
Hey - Great news! We have started the work on this feature and hope to have it delivered at the end of Q3 January 2025.
I totally agree with this statement, it costs more money in employer’s contributions.
