Please remove the mandatory passwords from payslips emailed - this should be optional per payroll or employee as it was before - as an accountant with many clients payrolls I have been inundated with messages asking for them to be removed - I don't have time to email every single one individually!
And also the monthly reports have the option to be emailed with or without a password - sorry but this sounds like someone has made a decision and doesn't want to reverse it, even though it's wrong and not consistent - any helpful response would be useful please?
Hi Izzy, further to my comments earlier - how come if Staffology are so worried about breaking GDPR rules that emailed P45's don't have mandatory password protection on them? thanks Nigel
Hi Izzy, isn't GDPR all about giving individuals the choice to opt in or out? It's my responsibility to determine with my clients and my use of their data how they want this not for Staffology to implement a mandatory change - the previous setup was absolutley fine because it gave each client the option of how they wanted they payslips sending! Please remove the "Will not implement" status and reconsider this as soon as possible. I had previously found Staffology to be flexible and considering of their customers but since the purchase by IRIS I'm feeling it's becoming very corporate and don't actually care about their customers!
Hi Nigel - we received guidance that sending unprotected documents via email can constitute a breach of GDPR and so we have changed the process to not allow it. The emails will always include the format of what the password is (in the sense of "It is your date of birth and initials, such as 01051980AA
Too right. Unbelievably irritating to have this happen without any warning. It may be a good idea but generally clients don't want it so there should be an option to have no password. I too have had to field calls from clients asking for this to be removed. It also concerns me hugely that you have made a change in my payroll system without my knowledge or approval. It should not happen again.
