Downloaded reports have inconsistent naming standards - a small thing, but it looks messy when sharing them with clients.
For example, in a typical month we have:
Payslips: "payslips-Month 12.pdf" (lower-case p, mix of hyphens and spaces between words)
Payments: "Payments-2023-Month-12.pdf" (includes year as well as month)
Gross-to-net: "GrossToNet-2023.pdf" (no month included)
Pension contributions: "file.pdf" (just a generic file name!)
P30: "P30-2023-2024-04-05.pdf" (includes month & day of end of tax year, no month included)
It can't be too difficult to apply consistent standards to this surely?
One other small but significant annoyance - the 'Full Summary Of Pay' report downloads with the file name 'CostOfEmployment....'
When we download both of these reports for the same pay run, it's too easy to overwrite the Cost Of Employment report by mistake.
@S Mackin - as a cloud product that's entirely dependant on your browser settings. A website cannot specify a file path when downloading a file.
It would be useful if we could specify a default file path for downloaded reports that the software could add a company folder and year folder to when downloading reports
