Summary:
Currently, Staffology automatically submits pension contributions to connected providers (e.g. NEST, Smart Pension) immediately after payroll is finalized. While this streamlines the process, it can lead to premature pension submissions if the payroll requires amendments after the initial run.
Issue:
Unlike RTI submissions to HMRC, which allow manual control, pension submissions are triggered automatically without the option to delay or manually submit. This creates challenges when payroll is not finalised on the first draft, resulting in incorrect pension data being submitted.
Suggested Solution:
Introduce a feature that allows users to choose between:
Automatic submission (default), or
Manual submission (user-triggered) for each pay run.
This would give payroll administrators greater flexibility and control, reduce errors, and align pension submission functionality with RTI submission workflows.
Benefits:
Prevents incorrect pension data from being submitted.
Reduces the need for manual corrections with pension providers.
Enhances user confidence and control over payroll processes.
Please set up the AE submission as a push button like the Bacs, P45 and Payslips ASAP. This is causing huge errors on a great function.
We often close the period for final check and sending the payslips early to check for errors. I also closed the period for a rollback which sent a 0 file.
Many thanks
