Pro ration of starters, leavers, OSP calcs

Please can we have the option to either set pro-ration for starters to the whole pay period if they start on the first working day e.g. if they start on 3rd of month which is the first working day, so it pays the whole monthly salary. Some clients like this. Also could we have some check in place to pick out where starter or leaver or osp salaries are being paid for more than the 1/12th normal salary when the pro-ration is based on 260ths. We currently have to manually change any that are paying more than the 1/12th. Can we also have different pro ration including 261 or 365 if required.

As of today 29/05/2025, this still impacts the processing of Maternity Pay specifically the removal of salary where the system leaves behind a residual salary amount (or a negative value) when using the 260 Rule for salary deduction. It also affects every last calendar day leaver whereby too much salary is paid. This means leavers receive more pay than those still in employment for the same period which is unfair. as actual days in the month instead of 1/12th of the annual salary is paid if the salary pro-ration is not changed to the manual basis for these leaver occurrences.
