The automated tax code service from HMRC is useful but it would be good if the notices could be applied effective from their date. For example, our tax codes for the new tax year came in on 21st Feb - it would be good to be able to apply them but now it will only change from 6th April. Currently, you cannot do that.
In July we came across a bug in the system whereby higher tax payers tax code was not applied in the payroll run although it was imported in from HMRC. Other employees had no issues.
Hey Rosie - we are currently looking at the way our tax codes are implemented. Once I have a timeline available, I will update this idea.
