Following communication from Izzy, Staffology is scheduled to decommission the existing Custom Schedule functionality in April 2027.
To ensure continued compatibility, this functionality must be replaced with a fully customisable schedule solution. This new solution is specifically required to support the 4-4-5 pay period structure (a standard practice in the hospitality industry).
The replacement Customisable Schedule must include the following key features:
Period Definition: The ability to define the precise start and end dates for each pay period for the tax year.
Pay Date Selection: The option to select and assign the relevant pay dates for the each defined periods.
Threshold Calculation: The schedule's calculation logic must accurately apply Monthly tax, National Insurance, pension and any other thresholds.
This change is critical for maintaining compliance and operational efficiency for users relying on non-standard payroll cycles.
To add an extra factor in this, it would be useful for education payrolls to allow for last working day of term for instances where the monthly payroll would be impacted around easter/summer/Christmas payrolls. Currently having to look at dynamic updates across customer base before payrolls can be opened (losing system functionality of auto open)
