Hrs Normally Worked / Wk Field in Employee Record

In an employee record, in the Pay Options tab, and then the Other tab there is a Hrs Normally Worked / Wk field with the drop down options:

Less than 16

More than 16

More than 24

More than 30

Not regular

This is a required field to be submitted on each FPS to HMRC.

The working pattern in an employee record sometimes then populates the correct banding e.g. I notice that where a default working pattern of 37.5 hours is set up for example the field is showing More than 30, suggesting it’s linked to the working pattern set up. However, if anyone is part time and on another working pattern it just says Not Regular rather than showing the correct banding. I also note that hourly paid staff are showing as Not Regular (note: they don’t have hours stored in their record as they are imported each week but are over 40 hours).

Staffology advise: "These are two separate fields that operate independently and need to be managed separately. A Disconnect is Identified
Your example perfectly illustrates this system limitation:
- A default working pattern of 37.5 hours shows as "More than 30" in the banding
- When someone works part-time with a different working pattern selected, it changes to "Not Regular"
This suggests that the banding field requires manual adjustment when working patterns change, rather than updating automatically."

Could the Hrs Normally Worked / Wk field be linked to the working pattern set up so that the correct field is selected and submitted to HMRC?
