Filter / Archive by year in employee "Leave" function

Is it possible to add a filter or archive function to the employee leave tab so we can filter by year? Currently this shows in one big list historically but really we only want to look at the current year we are in – however, we don’t want to have to delete previous entries as still need to have access to this information?

Currently this function is not user friendly and this is only the 2nd year we are using it - I'm imaging the length of the list once we are 5 years in, it just won't be workable.

It would also be helpful to be able to filter by types of leave - holiday, sick, etc.
