It would be good if the total costs within dashboard showed what was included within each heading. For example, if you hover over "Other", you would see what was included to make up the total "Other" figure.
Additionally, the accuracy needs looking into. For example, I have noticed the following:
Levy not being included in the ER NI total costs
SMP reclaim not included in the ER NI total costs
Student loans not being included in the PAYE total costs
Pension AVC to be included in the dashboard total cost, separated and labelled Pension Contributions (AVC) or included within the other pension contribution headings.
So for one - the ER NI is not being reduced down by the SMP recovery, so the ER NI figure is not the same as the one showing at the top banner. So if you add the EE & ER NI amounts, they do not agree to the NI liability figure at the top. See attached image.
Likewise the Tax liability at the top is not the PAYE figure. Thus, appears to not include student loans etc. So I would expect to either see the student loans showing separately on the pie graph or to have this included in the PAYE amount.
So I have to question the accuracy of the pie chart and total cost figure
